Venture School AISD Student of the Month

Abraham C. Venture School AISD student of the Month

Abraham C. is a fine, confident and poised young man who has demonstrated leadership, citizenship and responsibility at Venture High School.

Abraham has taken advantage of many opportunities offered to him that will translate into a successful future for him. He's a member of the ROTC program as well as PALS, the campus leadership group.

Abraham is known on campus as someone always willing to provide a helping hand. He greeted and escorted presenters during a Career Fair at Venture. Recently, he was seen helping a veteran who had been run off the road just outside the school and had two flat tires. Also, Abraham took a leadership role in getting together a team of Venture and Newcomer Center students who designed and constructed cardboard boats for the annual regatta at Hurricane Harbor.

Abraham plans to participate in the ROTC program at the University of North Texas and ultimately earn a commission into the United States Air Force. He is a great example of a Venture student with the determination and fortitude to achieve all of his goals! Congratulations, Abraham!

Media Fair Finalist!

Alex G. began taking photography here at Venture in October of this school year and has already completed three semesters.  He carries a 92% average in those three classes.  He is currently in his second semester of the Advanced Photography class.  He is working diligently toward, not only completing the credit, of course, but hopefully attaining his Adobe Photoshop certification after completing the course.  Alex has produced many creative works during his time here at Venture.  He has shown an artistic as well as photogenic eye and is well deserving of the honor that he will be receiving for being a finalist in the district Media Fair for the “Flower Color” project .  Alex has also taken Advertising & Graphic Design A & B where he completed an "Animal Rights" flyer that was also a finalist in the district Media Fair.

Monochromatic photograph with colored rose and text that reads Don't let your surroundings define you.   Flyer with Text of Help Animals! Stop Cruelty! Support Animal Rights!

Venture is overjoyed that one, such as Alex, can have the opportunity to rise to the top and be recognized for his talents.  Congratulations!
