The District provides two paid EXCHANGE days (12 hours) for eligible campus professional staff to attend professional learning during non-contract (off-duty) time by attending workshops, conferences, seminars, summer, evening, and weekend learning opportunities. (More...)

In Leverage Leadership, Chapter 2 focuses on “Observations and Feedback”. One core idea in the text is: “Teachers are like tennis players they develop most quickly when they receive frequent feedback and opportunities to practice”.
Studies show that frequent feedback in a continuous cycle of communication between the teacher and campus leader lead to improved practice. One of our district beliefs in the strategic plan is to sustain a positive culture that promotes continuous improvement by all. AISD strives to provide a safe learning environment for student and adult learners.
