Environmental Systems

 

This course is interdisciplinary; it embraces a wide variety of topics from different areas of study. The course will provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the inter-relationships of the natural world. Students will identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and humanmade; evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems; and examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them.

Grade Placement: 11-12
Prerequisites: Biology, Chemistry

 

 

AP Environmental Science

The AP Environmental Science course is designed to be the equivalent of a one semester, introductory college course in environmental science. The curriculum is outlined by The College Board. This course is interdisciplinary; it embraces a wide variety of topics from different areas of study. The course will provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the inter-relationships of the natural world.
