  • Anime Club will be meeting today after school in Room 2117 from 3:00 to 4:00.---
  • Make sure to watch the Berserker this Friday. It's a good one, we take an inside look at the award-winning cardboard boat regatta team. And of course so many drone shots.---
  • It’s going down after school on Wednesday, May 17th. SOAR is hosting a 6v6 flag football tournament. Each team must have at least three females and one teacher sponsor or faculty member. With up to three alternates. Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria for 3 dollars or 5 dollars at the game. Team registration is $25. Only 16 teams will be allowed. All efforts go to "Helping Hands" a refuge donations drive.---
  • Attention class of 2018!  Are you energetic and filled with Viking PRIDE?  Are you looking for a way to show off your school spirit and have lots of fun? Then you should try out to be Thor or a part of Thor Corps.  Pick up an application with more information in Mrs. Wicks’ room (1114).  Applications are due to Mrs. Wicks by Monday May 15th, tryouts will be Wednesday May 17th.---
  • Late Prom ticket sales run today and tomorrow. The tickets are $80 dollars per person. Tickets are being sold in room #124 during Blue/Gold Lunch and after school. Students must have a picture i.d. Students can pay for prom tickets online, look on the website under bookkeeper-LHS prom tickets. All fines must be cleared and must provide proof with receipt or note.---
  • Juniors: May 1st is the deadline to apply for Prep Camp, a free overnight event to help you maximize your college and scholarship apps. Apply at
  • Seniors: Are you an immigrant? Or a child of an immigrant? Apply for the Immigrant Journey Scholarship by April 30th. Info on the wall in the Go Center.---
  • Seniors: If you received a scholarship from UTA, you must accept it online by May 1st or it will be taken away. Need help making a decision? Visit the Go Center or email
  • Attention Students! If you plan to take Dual Credit next year and you haven't taken the TSI or need to retest please go to TCC Southeast Campus to test and see Mrs. Harris with your results by the end of THIS week!!! The cut off is Friday!!!---
  • Want to provide aid to those in need?  You can help by providing toys, clothing, food or toiletry items. All efforts go to "Helping Hands" a refuge donations drive. Drop-off boxes will be both main offices, counseling centers or your teacher's room.---

Late Night at the Library


The Library will be open late for tutoring and studying on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, beginning 9/6.  There will be a math tutor available both nights. 

Entrances to Lamar

Lamar students, parents, and visitors,
Prior to 7:35, the Band Hall, Promenade and Main Office entrances will be unlocked. After 7:35, we will lock all exterior doors except those at the Band Hall entrance and the Main office entrance. All parents and visitors may park in the main lot north of Lamar Blvd and enter through the Band Hall, or park in the lot just off Sam Curlee Blvd at the SW corner of the school. A security guard will direct visitors at the Band Hall entrance, and visitors to the Main Office entrance should check in inside the main office. Thank you!
