  • Students, if you are considering moving from an AP/PAP class to an on-level course, please see your counselor for guidance.---
  • Seniors - If you ordered a senior t-shirt they are in. Come to room 107 with a picture I'd to pick it up.  If you would still like to order a t-shirt please come to room 107 to order. They are $25.00.---
  • Students: You may pick up your free State Fair of Texas ticket in your attendance office. The State Fair of Texas runs Sept. 30th - Oct. 23rd.---
  • Seniors – See Mrs. Jones the UTA Counselor in the library for help with UTA applications, scholarships, financial aid, and more. She’s in the Go Center every Monday and Tuesday.---
  • All students interested in Key Club should plan to attend out October 4 meeting in room 261, that's right , room 261 on the west side of Lamar.  This will also be the last date for dues collection for the year. Dues are $15 dollars. Members must bring their hour sheet of they wish to get credit. Many service opportunities will be addressed.---
  • The next FCA meeting will be Monday October 3rd at 6 pm in the Cafeteria. Come enjoy food & fellowship. Please bring $2.00 for food. See Coach Kelly for more details.---
  • Students - for a scary good time - you may pick up your Six Flags Over Texas Fright Fest discount tickets in your attendance office.---
  • Attention Juniors- Jostens will be on campus taking your ring orders during lunch on Thur & Fri.  They will be set up outside the band hall.  You will need a first payment of at least $50 and your order form, which you can download at

Danny Siu is a National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist. Danny scored in the top 1% nationwide on the PSAT last fall. 

The following students are Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program, placing in the top 3% nationwide on the PSAT last fall:  Katherine Byers, Madeline Harrington, Kie Lancaster, Amanda Losh, & Crystal Pang.  We are very proud of these wonderful students and their accomplishment!

Students: You may pick up your free State Fair of Texas ticket in your attendance office. The State Fair of Texas runs Sept. 30th - Oct. 23rd.

Pre-game tickets for home, varsity football games will be sold online and in the AISD Athletic Office, 1141 W. Pioneer Pkwy, beginning at 8:00am on the Monday prior to the game.   Online tickets will be sold until 4:00pm on gameday.

Late Night at the Library


The Library will be open late for tutoring and studying on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, beginning 9/6.  There will be a math tutor available both nights. 

Entrances to Lamar

Lamar students, parents, and visitors,
Prior to 7:35, the Band Hall, Promenade and Main Office entrances will be unlocked. After 7:35, we will lock all exterior doors except those at the Band Hall entrance and the Main office entrance. All parents and visitors may park in the main lot north of Lamar Blvd and enter through the Band Hall, or park in the lot just off Sam Curlee Blvd at the SW corner of the school. A security guard will direct visitors at the Band Hall entrance, and visitors to the Main Office entrance should check in inside the main office. Thank you!
