Morning Announcements
-----  As read over the PA by the student council:
  • Attention Senior Graduates: Cell phones will not be permitted at Graduation, please do not bring your cell phone to the Graduation Ceremony.---
  • The Asian Student Association will have their final club meeting today after school in Mr. Wou's room, Room 1025. We will be electing new officers for next year and discussing our senior send-off party!---
  • Finals are tomorrow Friday and next Tuesday.  No bags or backpacks will be allowed on campus.  Please leave them at home.---
  • Tomorrow, May 27th, seniors will go to the auditorium during their English class (or during the time indicated on the pass received in their English class) to complete the senior clearance process for graduation.  In order to be "cleared", students must earn credit for all required classes, pass all EOCs, make up all time redemption,  and pay all fines.  Seniors must be cleared in the auditorium on Friday in order to participate in the  graduation rehearsal and ceremony.  Please see your counselor for any questions.---

Congratulations to Joeseph Williams for being chosen as the “Math Teacher of The Month”.  He has been nominated by an anonymous group of students and teachers to receive this award.  Thank you for your tireless devotion to our students’ academic achievement in the study of mathematics.  


Two Lamar students were selected out of almost 500 entries to be shown in the Betsy Price Art Contest this month. Elizabeth E. and Daylon F. were selected to be among the 65 pieces of art to be shown at the Fort Works Art Gallery from May 21- 28th. Elizabeth's artwork sold for $125!  Come and see the show!



Transfer applications for the 2016-17 school year will be done online starting Monday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. Parents may apply for their child's new transfer online from home or using a computer at their child's school. Late Night at the Library


The Library will be open late for tutoring and studying on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, beginning 9/8.

Entrances to Lamar

Lamar students, parents, and visitors,
Prior to 7:35, the Band Hall, Promenade and Main Office entrances will be unlocked. After 7:35, we will lock all exterior doors except those at the Band Hall entrance and the Main office entrance. All parents and visitors may park in the main lot north of Lamar Blvd and enter through the Band Hall, or park in the lot just off Sam Curlee Blvd at the SW corner of the school. A security guard will direct visitors at the Band Hall entrance, and visitors to the Main Office entrance should check in inside the main office. Thank you!
