  • All Key Club members are to sell 2 pancake tickets to the Feb 25 Kiwanis pancake breakfast. If you missed getting them at the meeting, come see Mrs. Chamberlain. Once your tickets are sold be sure to turn that money in right away. Members needing additional tickets can also get those in room 263.  This breakfast includes unlimited homemade pancakes, sausage, OJ, milk, Starbucks, entertainment and a silent auction. Any teachers or staff members needing tickets should find a Key Club member or contact Mrs. Chamberlain.  Our next meeting is Feb 8. Our goal is to sell out by then.---
  • Sophomores, missing a Science credit and don’t know which one to take?  See Mr. Pugh in room 1016 to learn more about Principles of Engineering.---
  • On Friday, January 20, 2017 we will have early release at 11:53am as we host the Region 8 Academic Decathlon.  Bell Schedules will be posted around the building and on our website—
  • Students, please remember that the doors on the South side are LOCKED, all day.  Please enter the building on the West side, or on the North side across from student parking, or on the East side near Cravens Field.  Thank You.---
  • Future Programmers and Coders, missing one more of those pesky Math credits you need to graduate?  Want to learn how to do Math without Numbers?  That’s right, I said Math without Numbers.  Then see Mr. Walla in room 102 to learn more about Digital Electronics.---
  • There will be a Science National Honor Society meeting on January 12 at 3 pm in room 213 and the make-up meeting on January 13 at  7 am in room 213.---
  • Baseball tryouts will be Friday January 27th. In order to tryout, you must attend an information meeting after school at the baseball field. Meetings will be Wednesday the 11th and Thursday the 12th. Wednesday the 18th and Thursday the 19th. Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th. For more information see Coach Kino---
  • Sophomores & Juniors:  Filling out your schedule for next year? Trying to make your transcript stand out for college?  Then take the Robotics class and compete in UIL Robotics next year.  It’s Sport for the Mind, where you can travel, earn a letter, and get scholarships to pay for college.  See Mr. Walla in 102 for more details.---

Late Night at the Library


The Library will be open late for tutoring and studying on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, beginning 9/6.  There will be a math tutor available both nights. 

Entrances to Lamar

Lamar students, parents, and visitors,
Prior to 7:35, the Band Hall, Promenade and Main Office entrances will be unlocked. After 7:35, we will lock all exterior doors except those at the Band Hall entrance and the Main office entrance. All parents and visitors may park in the main lot north of Lamar Blvd and enter through the Band Hall, or park in the lot just off Sam Curlee Blvd at the SW corner of the school. A security guard will direct visitors at the Band Hall entrance, and visitors to the Main Office entrance should check in inside the main office. Thank you!
