  • Seniors - your cookie dough fund raiser items will be delivered this Thursday the 8th. You will be able to start picking them up during both lunches in the auditorium foyer. We will be there until 3:30. You must bring a picture ID and you must pick up your orders that day. Each student is responsible for delivering their orders.---
  • Seniors: Aim to complete all of your college applications and submit FAFSA before Christmas Break. You only have two Mondays and Tuesdays left to get help from the Go Center!---
  • Key Club will have its final meeting of semester 1 today right after school in 261. Students are asked to bring a donation for our Christmas project. Please bring at least one dollar each. Many service opportunities will be discussed.Students wanting credit must bring their hour sheet NO EXCUSES.---
  • Spanish Club and Spanish National Honor Society will have their monthly meeting this Wednesday, December 7 after school in Mr. Wou's room, room 1025. Make up meeting will be the next morning at 7. See you there.---
  • Teachers:  Remember the $5 Grab N Go Lunch today. Lunch includes a loaded baked potato, homemade cobbler and water.  You can pick up your lunch in the Library or at the East Teacher’s Lounge. Please note that, due to testing, we are using the Library AV Room for the library location.  See you Tuesday, December 6th!---
  • ROCK PAPER SCISSORS CLUB IS BACK. RPS will be selling Mexican candy during gold lunch everyday till Friday the 9th. Come by and support RPS during your gold lunch!---
  • 12/5-6 Although the library is closed, the Go Center will be open Monday and Tuesday. Enter through the open blue door attached to the library.---
  • SOAR students participating in the Alumni Luncheon on Monday, December 12th, please bring $5 to 221 or 216 by this Thursday the 8th.  Please bring it by before school, during lunch or after school.   Again, $5 to room 221 or 216 by Thursday.   Thanks!---

Parents, any student who has yet to pass one or more EOC exams, a requirement for graduation,  will receive an opportunity to retest next week. These students will begin testing at 7:35. The following is the exam schedule for the week:

Monday - English I

Tuesday -  Algebra I 

Wednesday - English II

Thursday - Biology / US History

Late Night at the Library


The Library will be open late for tutoring and studying on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, beginning 9/6.  There will be a math tutor available both nights. 

Entrances to Lamar

Lamar students, parents, and visitors,
Prior to 7:35, the Band Hall, Promenade and Main Office entrances will be unlocked. After 7:35, we will lock all exterior doors except those at the Band Hall entrance and the Main office entrance. All parents and visitors may park in the main lot north of Lamar Blvd and enter through the Band Hall, or park in the lot just off Sam Curlee Blvd at the SW corner of the school. A security guard will direct visitors at the Band Hall entrance, and visitors to the Main Office entrance should check in inside the main office. Thank you!
