Alternative Methods of Earning High School Credit

The State Board of Education has proposed different methods by which a student can earn credit. These methods have been endorsed by the local Board of Trustees and are available by contacting the counseling office or the office of dropout prevention.

*Denotes that the cost of the program may be assumed by the student.


Dropout Prevention Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Dropout Prevention department to support the A.I.S.D.’s objective to graduate 100% of students on time prepared to excel at their school  or career of choice. Members of the dropout prevention department will work in collaboration with students, parents, central administration, and community agencies to diminish and/or remove barriers that hinder students from having a positive education experience resulting in school completion.
