Workforce dual credit offers students an opportunity to take challenging, college-level classes in high school while paying a discounted fee for college courses to prepare them in a career field. Most workforce dual credit programs lead to a college certificate of completion. Additionally, those college hours earned during high school apply to a related two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree at TCC or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, saving both time and money.
A Certificate of Completion signifies that you have reached a standard of knowledge and skills in an area of interest. Holding a certificate validates to employers that you possess a level of competence in a specialized career area and may be ready for an entry-level position.
