Graduation is June 3 at 12:30.

Mardi Gras Madness, after prom, was a huge success and fun. Thank you to the parents and volunteers who not only helped last night/this morning, but also helped support the cause throughout the year. A special thanks goes to Nancy Ward and Tammy Bryant for organizing the event.

Thursday and Friday mark the last days of school, which means they are also exam days.
The exam schedule is listed below. 

Thursday, June 1
1st Period 7:35 - 8:30
2nd Period 8:36 - 9:31
3rd Period 9:37 - 10:32
4th Period 10:40 - 11:35

Friday, June 2
5th Period 7:35 - 8:30
6th Period 8:36 - 9:31
7th Period 9:37 - 10:32
8th Period 10:40 - 11:35

Cap & Gown and Graduation Tickets
If your child missed the Cap and Gown Delivery on May 17th, he or she will need to pick up the cap and gown in the main office and their 7 graduation tickets in office A106.  All fines, textbooks and grades must be cleared before you pick up your graduation tickets.  Students must have a Student ID or Driver’s Licenses to pick-up your cap and gown and tickets. 

Additional Graduation Tickets
In order to ensure that all students that are on the bubble of graduating are given an opportunity to receive their first set of 7 tickets, additional Graduation Tickets w ill not be sold until June 2nd at 4:30 in the cafeteria.  Students may only purchase 2 tickets at $2 a piece at a time. Once every student in line has had a chance to purchase their first additional two tickets, we will then begin another round of ticket sales. This will continue till all tickets are sold. You must have your Student ID or Driver’s License to purchase additional tickets.  If a parent or family member is purchasing additional tickets for a student, they must have the student’s School ID to purchase.

Congratulation to Tavion P. (UNT), Ricardo T. (UTA), and Fady Y. (UTA) they are the receipts of the Dell Scholarship 

Congratulations all around: Asia and Vicki State Wrestling Champs!!! Coach Provence and Stevens coach and assistant coach of the year!!!

 AHS had 46 Art students compete in VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event) at Timberview High School.  38 of our 46 got a 4 (the highest score possible) on their pieces.  8 of those students were selected to move on to state!!! That is 5 more than last year!


Business Professionals of America students competed in Keller and are state qualifiers.  They will compete at the state conference in March. Team members are: Emily H., Hannah L., Maliaka D..Michaela R., Raevyn M., Destiny D., Evan O., Jennifer N. Jenny A., Joann C., Lisette R., Yahya M.

AHS Swim Team secured 4th place for girls and 3rd place for boys in the District competition!

AHS cheer performance squad earned a National Championship title! 

Academic Decathlon team won the Regional AcDec competition for the fifth year in a row.

Congratulations to the UIL Accounting team:  Second place in the tournament Team members are:

The UIL Journalism team competed at the Timberview Mansfield tournament Junior Angel G. placed 1st in Feature Writing and 3rd in Headlines, and junior Emma R. placed 4th in News and 6th in Features.

Ben Carroll has been awarded the NSCAA/MaxPreps player of the week for the State of Texas.

Arlington High FFA competed in the Arlington Winter Classic Stock Show.
 Those students receiving Grand Champions buckles are: David S.- Jr. Commercial Buck and Horticulture Sportsmanship, Mikaela W.- Sr. Commercial Buck and Mixed Pot Horticulture, Kaitlyn S.- Sr. Commercial Doe, Joseph S.- Jr. Fancy Doe, Turner H.- Lightweight Wether Goat, Whitney S.- American Beef Heifer

The Academic Decathlon team competed in Flower Mound.  Please congratulate the following students if you see them:

Garrett D. - second place in social science
Laura B. -  first place in literature, music, and science       third place in art.
Darcey B. - first place in art
Hudson F. - third place in science.
Mathlide Mergaux - second place in science
 Scholastic bracket:

Varsity bracket:
Citlally C. - third place in literature; 
Declan Q. - third place in science

The AHS Speech and Debate Team competed at the Sachse Speech and Debate Tournament:
Blake S. placed second in Congressional Debate and fifth in Novice Extemporaneous Speaking.
Grace R. and Brijan K. finished in Quarter Finals in Public Forum Debate.
Grace R. also won a Top Speaker Award in Public Forum Debate.

The Lady Colt wrestling team competed in the Arlington Invitational Tournament and finished as Tournament Champions.
